Ms. Hetzer's Class

The first week of March was all about Dr. Seuss.
The Cat in the Hat as well as thingy 1 and Thingy 2 visited our class.
March 4-7th was the letter Ss week.  Everyone has had an opportunity to bring home the Me bag so we will start collecting and bringing in beginning sound items:  for example March 11-14th is Mr. Rr week so bring in an item with the /r/ sound.
The school store is coming this week as well so we are working on earning SOAR cards for proper behavior so we can shop!
We had to bury our beloved Crayon Sallie Beta last Thursday.  We sent her back to the ocean from whence she came.  Two hermits crabs came in to join us and we will start thinking of names.
We will analyze and categorize animals all this month.  We did pets the first week of March so if you have any pictures of the family pet send them in.  If they are taken with your child that is even better!  This week we are looking at farm animals, 3rd week will be zoo animals, then the final week in March we will study dinosaurs and complete the month with a dinosaur egg hunt.
Next week 18-21 March we will study the letter Ii and the week of 25-28 March we will study the letter Qq.
We may have a visit from an onry old Leprechaun on St. Paddy's Day!
